I am a skilled HR, M&A, and Finance professional with expertise in both C-level and operational positions. I approach my work in a hands-on manner, valuing transparency, openness, challenge and collaboration, directness, and team-oriented communication. My focus is on building relationships and being sensitive to both the environment and the organization's needs. I am a pragmatic and creative problem solver, highly structured in my approach, and focused on delivering results.
Human Resources
My experience in HR covers a broad range of areas, from transformation and reorganization to business improvement and operational excellence, as well as leadership and talent development. I am skilled in management development, performance and succession management, compensation and benefits, HR systems and organization, and program and project management. In my work, I have managed processes with Works Councils and Trade Unions, including regular and M&A processes, collective labor agreement negotiations, and social plan negotiations. I have worked with companies of varying sizes, from small and medium-sized enterprises such as ONE Dyas, HES/EMO, Ennatuurlijk, and Scrn, to larger corporations including PWC, EY, Vattenfall, Essent, ASML, Boskalis, and KPN.
Mergers and Acquisitions
With a combination of HR and deal structure expertise, I have developed broad experience in M&A. My skills include deal lead, structuring, financing, and more. I have been involved in insourcing and outsourcing, purchase and sale of companies or units, sale readiness, deal phases such as due diligence and negotiations, carve-outs, integration, optimization, and innovation.
In my career, I have been involved in several concrete deals such as outsourcing of the IT division, selling of mobile telecom masts, outsourcing maintenance and service activities, selling of Facility Management activities, buying of IT company (all KPN), buying of Energy division, taking over customer portfolio of Energy company, selling of heat company (Essent, Vattenfall), selling part of fleet (Boskalis), and selling hosting/domain company, among others.
Finance
My finance experience covers a range of areas, including budgets, annual plans, three-year planning, forecasting, and financial and substantive business reviews. I have worked with companies such as Solvus/Content, KPN, Ennatuurlijk, Boskalis, Vattenfall, and HES. I am skilled in developing business cases for M&A transactions, reorganizations, restructuring, and other business needs. I have also been involved in reporting, including setting up internal reporting processes, participating in business reviews, and preparing reports for shareholders and supervisory boards.
